Dr. Alan Howard
Dr. Alan Howard is an acknowledged authority on obesity and coronary hear disease from a nutritional point of view, and has edited several books and published over 200 papers on these subjects. He founded as served as editor of the International Journal of Obesity from 1977 to 1983 and is chairman of the Food Education Society. Dr Alan Howard received his academic degrees (M.A. and PH.D.) from Cambridge University and is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chemistry. He has served on the Scientific Staff of the Medical Research Council and now works at the Department of Medicine, University of Cambridge, where he is lecturer on Nutritional Research. In 1973 Dr. Howard collaborated with BBC-TV and participated in its 10 part series, 'Don't Just Sit There', designed to motivate people in weight loss.
